So what is Summerfest?
Summerfest is a collection of concerts, exhibits, and performances that are all FREE of charge to the public. Summerfest will feature great artists exhibiting their works, doing spoken word, and performing new and exciting music! In the past, these events were scheduled for the month of June, but this year they'll be taking place ALL SUMMER LONG - so get out there and enjoy some great COAHSI sponsored happenings near you!

Summerfest awards 17 Staten Island artists for excellence in their work. COAHSI recognizes artists in Exhibiting, Literary and Performing Arts, and in exchange for their award, participate in bringing free art events to all of Staten Island.

Thinking of things to do this summer? Why don't you... listen to the great sounds of the Electric Junkyard Gamelan, view a sculptural word photography exhibit at the Richmond County Ballpark, or maybe you just want to sit back, soak up the sun and listen to some fantastic reggae/rhythm & blues at the Alice Austen House. These are just a few of the great art events planned for Summerfest, check out the Exhibiting, Literary and Performing Artist pages to find out more information!

Summerfest is a series of Free exhibits and performances by Staten Island artists, presented by the Council on the Arts & Humanities for Staten Island (COAHSI). Summerfest Literary & Exhibiting Excellence in the Arts Awards are made possible through JPMorgan Chase. Summerfest Performing Excellence in the Arts Awards are made possible through the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs.
